Course Description
A one-day Fundamentals of Intentional Adulteration, Conducting Vulnerability Assessment and Food Defense training designed for food industry personnel to become familiar with fundamental concepts of Intentional adulteration and food defense and applicable regulations.  This course is based on the concepts and material developed by the FDA and the Food Safety and Preventive Controls Alliance (FSPCA). It is not the official FSPCA IA-VA course qualifying participants to be IA rule qualified individuals (QI). However, the course attendees will receive a certificate of attendance from the MWFPA.

Who Should Attend
This course is open to all food processors and suppliers who wish to become familiar with the basic concepts of food defense and intentional adulteration and regulatory requirements dealing with conducting Vulnerability Assessment and developing a Food Defense plan.

•             Overview of IA Rule

•             Conducting Vulnerability Assessments (VAs) Using Key Activity Types (KAT)

•             Basics of developing a Food Defense Plan
